Basic Faith for 4th, 5th & 6th Graders
Beginning February 28th we will be offering the annual Basic Faith class for 4th, 5th, and 6th graders and their parents. This is a class that teaches children the basics of what it means to be a christian, covering topics like accepting Jesus or rededicating your life to Him, communion, baptism, and discipleship that will prepare children to be baptized and begin taking communion if they choose to do so with the guidance of their parents. We will be offering this class on Zoom as well as in-person so all can participate and feel comfortable!
The class goes for 4 weeks and parents are invited to attend the class along with their children each week. During the class, the children will be introduced to the concept of writing a testimony and will each be asked to write their own testimony as homework for the class. Then, on Sunday, May 23rd, they will have the opportunity to share their testimony at Children's Church and in a video format to be posted on our website for friends and family to watch.
At the conclusion of the class, if your child makes the decision to be baptized, they will meet with a pastor and, if all goes well, have the opportunity to be baptized in worship on Easter Sunday, April 4th. Sign up below!
